The Path of the Finnish Flag
The Monumental Flag will be supplemented by a row of flags called the Path of the Flag of Finland.
It will describe the uniqueness of the national symbol and also highlight its historical development and international context. The Path of the Flag of Finland will display all the national flags ever used in Finland. These consist of nine flags covering the Kalmar Union in the 14th to 16th centuries, era of rule of Sweden and Russia, and the Finnish lion flag and the first Blue Cross Flag. The row of flags will culminate in the flags of the European Union and the United Nations. The Path of the Flag of Finland open in the park of the Reserve Officer School in May 2018.
