Grant from the William and Helvi Säles Foundation
We are pleased to announce that Hamina has received a new foundation in accordance with the will of William and Helvi Säles. The foundation is managed and represented by the foundation board, which is an independent entity. The City of Hamina's Welfare Promotion Unit coordinates the grant process, but the decisions on grants are made by the foundation board.
The purpose of the foundation is to promote the well-being of the elderly and the elderly in the Hamina city area. The foundation grants grants to associations and organizations that organize activities for Hamina residents over the age of 65.
The foundation promotes the social status of the elderly and senior citizens, supports coping at home, organizes educational, meeting and celebration events, organizes and supports recreational and club activities, maintains support functions and supports caregivers. Secures and maintains exercise opportunities for people over 65 years of age.
Priority areas for awarding grants:
– activities related to promoting physical activity
– activities promoting cultural well-being
– activities that increase the well-being of caregivers

Statutory services that are the responsibility of the City of Hamina or the Kymenlaakso Welfare Region are not subsidized.
Please note that the use of the grant must be reported in writing to the William and Helvi Säles Foundation Board of Directors according to separate instructions. The instructions will be provided in connection with the grant decision.
