Many visitors at the Hamina Fortress Christmas Event 

The already established tradition and the region's largest atmospheric Christmas event, Wanhan Holviston Joulu, was held over the weekend (Sat-Sun 13-14 December) at Hamina Bastion. The event attracted a large number of visitors over the weekend, a total of almost 12,000 visitors. Saturday in particular was a record-breaking event day. Event visitors, performers and vendors gave good feedback over the weekend about the atmosphere, the event's arrangements and, of course, the unique setting of Hamina Bastion.   

The Old Bastion Christmas is an atmospheric and traditional Christmas market event for the whole family, focusing on artisans, in the vaulted rooms and field area of ​​Hamina Bastion. This year, the event once again featured over 100 vendors and exhibitors. Admission to the event was free. 

Next year, the Hamina Bastion Old Vault Christmas event will be held on Saturday-Sunday, December 12-13, 2026.
