During the Hamina Tattoo event week, master's students in regional planning at the German TU Dortmund University will prepare proposals for the development of the Hamina master plan as part of their coursework. The focus of the work is on improving the tourism infrastructure, focusing in particular on the city center and Tervasaari areas. The plans emphasize the opportunities for sports, cultural and wellness tourism. The starting point of the planning is a participatory approach, which takes into account the views and needs of both Hamina residents and tourists.
