The new Kymenlaakso village directory brings together villages, services and events on one platform
Kymenlaakso Village Association will launch a new, province-wide village directory and service website on 13 June as part of the Kylätieto verkkoon project. The project has received funding from the EU Rural Development Fund through the South-East Finland Vitality Centre. The total project costs are approximately 188,000 euros and the support is 100%.
The new service website brings together basic information, events and the villages' own websites in Kymenlaakso, making it easy to find in one place. The villages can be found in both a clear directory and a visual map, making it easier to get to know the area from the perspective of residents, leisure residents and visitors.
The villages have been responsible for building their own websites, as well as their further development and maintenance. During the project, village actors have been supported in the implementation of digital platforms and the development of communications so that the websites would also serve the villages in the long term.
The website strengthens the visibility, vitality and accessibility of villages and supports cooperation between municipalities and village actors. Thanks to the links, information can also be found smoothly on the websites of the municipalities of Kymenlaakso.
The service website helps you find new places to visit, services and events throughout the province.
