Temporary loan for associations
Temporary loan for employment for associations
The City of Hamina encourages associations to employ people by granting them a temporary loan for the initial costs of wage subsidy employment. The loan seeks assistance in a situation where associations have work assignments, but the lack of their own cash resources constitutes an obstacle to employment when wage subsidy is received retrospectively.
The temporary employment loan is aimed at those who have been unemployed for the longest time and have received labour market support for at least 300 days. This aims to ease the situation of those who have been unemployed for the longest time. The employment relationship is started by borrowing the first 1-3 months' salary costs, the part that is covered by the wage support paid afterwards by the TE Office, however, up to a maximum of 1300 euros per month.
A loan can be granted to an association in Hamina that employs a long-term unemployed person in Hamina in a wage subsidy employment relationship for at least six months, or until the employment condition is met. This also restores the person's right to unemployment benefit (earnings-based benefit or basic benefit).
The temporary loan is intended to encourage all associations, regardless of industry, to consider their own employment opportunities. If the application patterns for wage subsidy employment are unfamiliar to you, you can get support with the application process from the Etelä-Kymenlaakso employment services or, for example, from the Etelä-Kymen työtömät ry, which is an experienced wage subsidy employer.
A loan is applied for using an application form after the TE Office has received a wage subsidy decision. Loan applications can be submitted continuously.
Printable application forms and instructions are currently available via email from the employment coordinator.
