Pay subsidies
-
Wage subsidy is a financial support that compensates the employer for part of the employment costs of an unemployed job seeker. The amount and duration of the wage subsidy are determined based on the duration of the unemployed person's unemployment.
The city can only receive wage subsidies for hiring a person who has registered as an unemployed job seeker.
Anyone wishing to work for the city with wage subsidy must contact the city's employment unit. Wage subsidy is applied for through the employment unit at least 2 weeks before the start of the wage-subsidized work. The employment relationship cannot begin in advance.
The condition for granting wage subsidy is that the work in question has been agreed upon in an employment plan with an expert from the South Kymenlaakso Employment Services. The plan must be up-to-date before wage subsidy is granted.
The salary paid for wage subsidy work is generally in line with the lower limit of the salary group. The length of the employment period varies.
