Additional support for temporary protection

The Ministry of Employment and the Economy has granted the city of Hamina 30,000

euro government grant.

The city of Hamina has received additional temporary protection support to reach out to those arriving in the municipality as refugees. In addition, cooperation with third and fourth sector actors is being developed.

The Towards a New Home project (project period 1.1.2025-30.10.2026) aims to help parents and the elderly at home integrate into Hamina and create an operating model that can be used for refugees arriving in the municipality who are outside of working life services.

Networking with various actors is currently underway.
