Tattoo Jazz 2026 – New environment, same unfailing swing
The International Hamina Tattoo Military Music Festival will be held Mon-Sat 27 July-1 August 2026. During the event week Wed-Sat 29 July-1 August 2026, Tattoo Jazz will also be held in a renovated environment at Restaurant Meyer (Pikkuympyräkatu 5).
In 2024, Tattoo Jazz was held at Raittiustalo, which also suited the theme and atmosphere of the event well. Moving Tattoo Jazz to Restaurant Meyer allows us to offer better ancillary services to event attendees without compromising on the atmosphere and central location. Meyer Hamina is not just a building, but a living part of the city's history and culture, offering a unique meeting place for jazz music lovers. It is possible to purchase Show&Dinner tickets for Tattoo Jazz evenings. The Show&Dinner ticket includes a buffet meal, after which you can enjoy the jazz tunes directly from your own table. In addition, event visitors have the opportunity to purchase drinks from the restaurant's extensive and high-quality selection throughout the evening.
Tattoo Jazz 2026 – Traditions, soulfulness and fusion
This year, Tattoo Jazz's repertoire forms a fascinating musical continuum that transports the listener from local atmospheres to the pulse of international-level fusion jazz.
This year's Tattoo Jazz will feature a great selection of both the bold expression of the younger jazz generation and the strong expertise of experienced musicians. The jazz ensemble of the Royal Netherlands Navy Band performing on Thursday will bring an international jazz feel. Restaurant Meyer is the perfect place for jazz - the intimate space and the closeness of the audience create exactly the atmosphere where jazz can be at its best.
Hamina Tattoo's artistic director Henry Perälä commentsThe week starts on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 8:00 PM drummer Arttu Feltinen led by South-East Corner -band's journey, in whose airy sound, themes originating from Huopainen's homeland are seamlessly intertwined with modern improvisation and diverse rhythms.
On Thursday, July 30, 2026, starting at 9:30 PM, the evening's program will be hosted by Dutch Navy Jazz Ensemble, which represents the absolute pinnacle of Dutch military music. It promises an energetic mix of traditional swing, pop gems and tight funk.
On Friday, July 31, 2026, starting at 8:00 PM, the atmosphere will become electric when the pioneer of Finnish soul, who is celebrating its 10th anniversary, Sami Saari and the Jazz Boys conquer the stage with their unfailing swing and captivating Finnish-language jazz. The week culminates on Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 20:00 Johannes Granroth piloted by supergroup PEEL, whose energetic fusion jazz combines strong melodies and luscious harmonies, crowned Maja Mannila with virtuoso singing.
Each concert lasts approximately 1,5 hours, offering an intensive and high-quality immersion into the world of rhythmic music. Please note that the age limit for the events is K-18.

By purchasing tickets in advance at a lower price, you can secure your place at Tattoo Jazz. Tickets go on sale now lippu.fi.
It is also possible to purchase Show&Dinner tickets in advance for Tattoo Jazz evenings. The ticket includes a buffet meal 1,5 hours before the evening concert and the concert. The price of a Show&Dinner ticket is €65.
