Neuvoton Elementary School

Neuvottoman School is a community village school with less than a hundred students in grades 1-6. The school is located in western Hamina, in the village of Neuvottoman, about halfway between Hamina and Kotka, surrounded by diverse natural opportunities. The school has a sports hall, its own field and a large yard. Our school has an active student body and a parents' committee. Neuvottoman School also cooperates closely with local stakeholders.
In a small community, everyone knows each other and our school has clear operating models for potential bullying situations. We also use a peer mediation model for students. Our goal is to raise citizens who care about themselves, each other and their environment. Although we emphasize the mastery of basic skills and knowledge, our school offers subject teacher-level teaching of music, visual arts and languages.
