Changes in the online services of the City of Hamina – live cameras will be discontinued

The live cameras located at Hamina Market Square and Suurlippu have been taken out of service. The cameras have provided real-time images of the city center for several years, but now it is time to renew our services.

Live cameras incur annual costs for both data traffic and maintenance. In this economic situation, it has been found that the costs of live cameras exceed the benefits they provide. From a data protection perspective, we also want to ensure that moving around the city is worry-free for everyone and complies with current privacy settings. The change will not affect the surveillance cameras in the area.
