Do you want to advertise an event, business or activity along the street? Posters and advertising signs are an effective way to communicate, but their placement is subject to certain rules. With common rules of the game, we ensure that our city remains pleasant, clean and, above all, safe for all users.

1. Where is advertising allowed?

Advertisements and posters may only be placed in designated areas or with a separate permit.

  • The city's official bulletin boards and advertising pillars: Public bulletin boards, open to everyone, are freely available for use, for example, for event announcements by associations and clubs (please note that announcements are made in accordance with good practice).
  • To the LED board located in the city square Clubs and associations, as well as city collaboration events, can apply for a place, which will feature free programmatic content aimed at everyone on the boards.
  • Private areas and properties: An advertisement may only be placed on private land, a building wall, or a fence with the permission of the land or property owner.
  • Paid advertising devices: Other LED boards located in the city area are under the control of an outsourced operator, and must be agreed upon directly with the company in question.

2. What should be taken into account?

Placing even temporary advertisements (such as roadside signs or event signs) on city-owned street areas, green areas, or roadsides almost always requires permission from the city.

The following conditions apply to the permit and placement:

  • Traffic safety is a priority: Under no circumstances may the advertisement cover traffic signs, view areas at intersections, or distract the attention of motorists, cyclists, or pedestrians.
  • Prohibition on attachment to public structures: Advertisements or posters may not be attached to structures such as bridge railings, electrical cabinets, lamp posts, bus stops, traffic sign posts, or trees without permission.
  • Support and cleanliness: The advertiser is responsible for ensuring that the sign remains upright in wind and storms and does not cause danger or littering to the environment.

Important reminder about cleaning: The advertiser is obliged to remove the advertisements and all their mounting materials (such as strings and cable ties) immediately after the event ends - no later than within 3 days.

3. Unauthorized advertising will be removed

Advertisements placed in violation of the Public Order Act and city regulations, that endanger traffic, or that are outdated will be removed by the city without separate warning. The person who placed the unauthorized advertisement may be charged for the costs of removal.
