The Hamina Urban Development Committee will meet on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 16:30 PM at the City Hall.

The meeting's agenda includes, among other things, the introduction of landfill and snow dump fees for external users as of October 1, 2026. The committee is discussing a proposal that will start charging external operators for loads brought to the city's landfill and snow dumps. No fees have been charged previously, and the planning, permitting, construction and maintenance of the sites have caused significant costs to the city. Invoicing would be based on a fixed fee per load in two different fee categories.
