Accessibility statement
This accessibility statement explains how the City of Hamina website complies with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services, what shortcomings there are in the accessibility of the site, and how you can give us feedback on accessibility issues. The goal of the City of Hamina is to make the use of online services as smooth as possible for all users. Accessibility is taken into account in the development of the city's digital services.
Accessibility refers to the ease of use and comprehensibility of websites, mobile applications and the content published in them. Accessibility is defined in more detail In Directive 2016/210 of the European Parliament and of the Council2 yes in the Act on the provision of digital services 306/2019.
This accessibility statement applies to the City of Hamina. www.hamina ja www.haminanvesi.fi -sites that are made with the WordPress publishing program. The technical implementation of the site is Hion Oy.
Accessibility status
The website is largely compliant WEB Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 required requirements at A and AA level.
Inaccessible content
The most significant shortcomings are in the accessibility of the files (pdf, doc, xls). The purpose of the files will be checked and they will be updated to be accessible as soon as possible.

The website has links to various electronic services, including Tweb (agendas, minutes, official decisions and announcements), Trimble's feedback service (hamina.trimblefeedback.com) and the South Kymenlaakso map service (karttapalvelu.kotka.fi/.
Preparing the accessibility statement
The new website of the City of Hamina will be launched in early 2024. This statement was prepared on 4 December 2023. The statement is based on a self-assessment and accessibility testing by the technical platform provider. The statement is reviewed once a year. The website administrators regularly review and improve the accessibility of the website.
