The City of Hamina's communications are guided by the Municipal Act and general principles, such as equality and non-discrimination. The City of Hamina's strategic choices also guide the city's operations and therefore also its communications. Based on values and vision, a unified and consistent communication line is formed. The city communicates openly and honestly about its operations and decisions. In addition to open communication, community and inclusion are promoted through interaction with various actors. According to the Local Government Act, the municipality's task is to promote the vitality of the area and this requires equal treatment of every actor. In all city activities, it must be ensured that everyone receives the same treatment.
