Urban Development Committee

The task of the Urban Development Committee is to respond
– the city's buildings and structures, street maintenance, and waste management in those parts that have not been transferred to the Kymi Waste Board
– green areas and public areas, premises needed for municipal service production, private information
– the city's own housing operations, property management and property maintenance, food and cleaning services, and tasks falling under the municipality's jurisdiction under laws regulating housing and housing production
– on the aftermath of oil spills pursuant to Section 111 a of the Rescue Act (acts as an authority)
– on matters concerning stormwater in accordance with Chapter 13 a of the Land Use and Building Act (acts as an authority)
– land use planning and preparation of station and master planning, organization of public transport, city land and water areas, cartography and surveying activities, and maintenance of the real estate register.
