Committees, boards and councils

Committees are bodies consisting of elected officials who handle various tasks. The committees are elected by the city council for four years at a time.

The tasks of the committees are determined by the legislation and tasks specific to the administrative sector. Detailed tasks and powers are defined in the city's administrative regulations.

The committees meet at times they decide and the meetings are closed. The City Council has appointed representatives to each committee and the Mayor also has the right to participate in the meetings.
