Hamina Monumental Finnish Flag and Flag Square

The Monumental Finnish Flag is a gift to Finland and Finns.

The Finnish flag celebrated its centenary on 28 May, 2018. To celebrate, a national celebration was held in Hamina and a 2019-meter-high blue and white pole was erected, carrying the world's largest Finnish flag. The flagpole received a permanent permit in December XNUMX.

The large flag celebrates the centenary of Finland's independence. The monumental flag is a gift from 38 foreign powers to the centenary of Finland and the Finnish people. The field where the large flag flies is named Finnish Flag Square.

The large Finnish flag is 27m x 16m in size and flies in the forest 24/7, wind conditions permitting. The flag is lowered if the wind exceeds 15 m/s.

The Finnish Flag Square is located in the center of Hamina by the sea at Lepikönranta, Hamina.

The road of the Finnish flag

The road of the Finnish flag is located in the RUK park on Kadettikoulunkatu. On the path of the Finnish flag, the Finnish flag proposals from 1917-1918 before the current blue flag was approved fly.
