City and decision-making

The City Council will convene on Monday, June 1, 2026 at the Town Hall. The meeting will discuss the sale of the Tullimakasiini property complex located in Tervasaari. Following the previous decision of the Urban Development Committee, the City Council exercised its right of withdrawal and will now discuss the purchase offer for Tullimakasiini in its meeting. According to the proposal, the entrepreneur-driven restaurant, conference and sauna world concept planned in connection with the purchase offer would strongly support the city's vitality and urban strategy.

In addition, the city council's agenda includes, among other things: 

  • Procurement of the city's telecom operator services for 2026–2030
  • Administrative rule update
  • Report on council initiatives processed and not processed during the year
  • Retrieving the assets of a municipal resident who died without an heir from the State Treasury
  • Fees for providing documents and information from 1 July 2026
  • Multiple adjustment requests
