The City Council will meet on October 13, 2025.

The Hamina City Council will convene for its last meeting of the year on Monday, December 15, 2025, at the Town Hall. The meeting will discuss, among other things, the city's real estate and premises program for 2026-2027. The city's real estate services have updated the real estate and premises program to reflect the current situation. The strategic goals of the real estate and premises program remain unchanged, but the need for an update, especially in the real estate portfolio, caused by rapid environmental changes is obvious.

In addition, the meeting will discuss, among other things, an agreement on organizing urban regional planning in the Kotka-Hamina region during the years 2026–2030. The operations have been organized using the responsible municipality model and the purpose of the agreement is to create a long-term arrangement in which the responsible municipality carries out authority tasks related to regional land use planning on behalf of other contracting municipalities.

The meeting will also discuss the change in the city plan regarding the Linnoituk district block, the arrangement of the land lease agreement in the port area, the issue of organizing recreational and sports trips by sports services, and the implementation instructions for the 2026 budget.
