The City Council will meet on October 13, 2025.

The Hamina City Council will convene on Monday, October 13, 2025 at the Town Hall. The meeting will propose to the City Council for approval that the City of Hamina join the municipal energy efficiency agreement for the period 2026-2035. The City of Hamina has been part of the municipal energy efficiency agreement since 2008. The meeting will also propose to the City Council for approval a change to the local plan in four blocks of the Saviniemi district.

In addition, the meeting will decide, among other things, on issuing a statement on the draft regional programme for Kymenlaakso and the related environmental report. The draft regional programme includes a long-term regional plan based on scenarios and a four-year regional programme in accordance with the Act on Regional Development and the Implementation of the Regional and Structural Policy of the European Union (756/2021). The City of Hamina has had the opportunity to comment on the draft regional programme from the perspective of the City of Hamina.
