The City Council met on Monday, April 27, 2026.
The City Board convened on Monday, June 1, 2026 at the Town Hall. The meeting discussed the sale of the Tullimakasiini property complex located in Tervasaari. Following the previous decision of the Urban Development Committee, the City Board exercised its right of withdrawal and discussed two purchase offers for Tullimakasiini at its meeting. The City Board decided to sell the property complex to a bidder whose planned entrepreneur-driven restaurant, conference and sauna concept strongly supports the city's vitality and urban strategy.
In addition, the city government discussed, among other things:
- Procurement of the city's telecom operator services for 2026–2030
- Administrative rule update
- Report on council initiatives processed and not processed during the year
- Retrieving the assets of a municipal resident who died without an heir from the State Treasury
- Fees for providing documents and information from 1 July 2026
- Multiple adjustment requests
