The City Council met on October 13, 2025.

The City Council convened on June 15, 2026 at the Town Hall. The meeting discussed, among other things, a request for rectification regarding the decision made by the City Council on April 27, 2026 (§ 88 Purchase of land in the Mäkelänkangas industrial area). After the decision was made, circumstances have arisen that require further investigation of the background information on the matter. The City Council approved the request for rectification only to the extent that it stated that the purchase price of the land was possibly too high. It is necessary to negotiate with the seller about the purchase price and the materials in the area. In other respects, the requests and justifications in the request for rectification were rejected as unfounded. The matter will be considered again by the City Council in the autumn.

In addition, the meeting discussed, among other things, the instructions for preparing the 2027 budget and the 2027-2029 financial plan. The City Council also discussed the conclusion of the cooperation negotiations regarding event and employment services in the vitality and well-being sector, as well as the conclusion of the cooperation negotiations related to the reorganization of food, cleaning and real estate services, with further measures.
