The City Council met on October 13, 2025.

The Hamina City Board convened on Monday, October 13, 2025 at the Town Hall. The meeting decided to submit to the City Council for approval the City of Hamina's joining the municipal energy efficiency agreement for the period 2026-2035. The City of Hamina has been part of the municipal energy efficiency agreement since 2008. The meeting also decided to submit to the City Council for approval a change to the local plan in four blocks of the Saviniemi district.

In addition, the meeting decided, among other things, to issue a statement on the draft regional programme for Kymenlaakso and the related environmental report. The draft regional programme includes a long-term regional plan based on scenarios and a four-year regional programme. The City of Hamina has had the opportunity to comment on the draft regional programme from the perspective of the City of Hamina.
