The City Council met on October 13, 2025.
The Hamina City Council convened on Monday, September 1, 2025, at the Town Hall. The meeting appointed, among other things, the members of the Council for the Elderly and Disabled and approved the rules of operation of both councils. The Council for the Elderly and Disabled are advocacy bodies provided for in the Municipal Act, which are established to ensure the participation and influence opportunities of the elderly and disabled population.
In addition, the meeting decided, among other things, to appoint the mayor's deputies and to submit a statement to the Administrative Court of Eastern Finland regarding the appeal against the city board's decision (26.5.2025 Section 120).
