Registration for the Elomarkkina parade is now open.

Hamina's traditional Elomarkkinat will be held Thursday-Saturday, August 13–15, 2026 at Hamina Market Square. Market sales will be held every day from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, and until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. 

The theme of the Elomarkkina parade in 2026 will be CHILD-FRIENDLY HAMINA. The jury will choose the best of the parade participant groups, which will be awarded at the opening ceremony on the Vepa stage after the parade.

The traditional opening parade of the market will set off from the RUK field on Thursday, August 13, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. The parade route will run as usual along Kadettikoulunkatu to Raatihuoneentori, and from there down Fredrikinkatu towards the Market Square, and the parade will go around the Market Square via Puistokatu and Kaivokatu. After the parade, there will be an opening party on the Vepa stage in the Market Square, where the best parade group will be awarded and a diverse opening program will be shown.

Registration for the procession is now open. All Hamina associations and other actors are welcome to participate in the procession. Register to join the procession by Sunday, July 19, 2026 using the forms HERE.

Groups that have registered for the procession will be sent more detailed participation instructions after the registration period has ended.

There will also be special arrangements for parking and traffic control in the city center area during the Elomarkkinat and the opening parade.
