City life in the time of grandparents
What was urban living like in the early 1900s? A guided tour will introduce you to the life of the Muravjev merchant family in Hamina and the lives of their fellow villagers. In the numerous living and working spaces, time seems to have stopped a hundred years ago. Everyday objects are reminiscent of the past, when even ordinary household chores required patience and good general fitness. The tour can also be adapted to suit groups of children.
Duration in the summer in the square of the outbuildings approx. 45 min, at other times in the main building 30 min. Maximum group size 12 people.

Are you looking for an affordable apartment in a good location? Merchant Paul Muravjeff has purchased the house of the heirs of copper manufacturer Lindfors on Kasarminkatu, where apartments of various levels and prices will soon become available, from a small kitchen to a couple of rooms.
The steam rooms will be shown to you by either the former owner of the house, Ms. Sjöström, or her maid Maria, and they will advise you on the house's etiquette.
Duration approx. 45 min. Available May-September.

The price of the guided tour does not include museum admission. Members of groups of more than 10 people can enter the museum with a discounted ticket.
On weekdays after 16 pm and on weekends outside museum opening hours, groups are charged a fee for opening the museum for the group.
Guided tour and opening fees include 25,5% VAT.
