Bike Tour and Walking Spark

Hamina's familiar summer campaigns, Bike Hike and Walking Spark, will move walkers and cyclists of all ages and sizes from May 9 to October 4, 2026.
The mailboxes, which act as checkpoints, are placed in scenic locations in the villages, with the aim of getting to know natural sites and increasing outdoor activity for people of all ages. That means packed lunches, swimsuits and a sense of adventure for a bike ride, and a healthy start to spending summer days in nature with the whole family.
At the request of the participants, this year we are including four easily accessible school and kindergarten playgrounds for the whole family to enjoy outdoors. Get some oxygen and enjoy life, even if it's while swinging!

The villages have dark brown mailboxes with the logos of the Bike Hike and the Walking Spark (a light grey box at the Leislahti field). The names of the outdoor enthusiasts are recorded in the notebooks in these mailboxes.

Google maps will guide you to the boxes. The map also shows pictures and links to nearby services or places worth visiting.

When you are outdoors, remember to respect other people and especially nature. Pay attention to the spring nesting of birds, do not disturb them! Garbage also goes home, and when you are walking in villages, you are always walking on land owned by someone else.
Apologies to the landowners for the increased traffic at this stage ☺

The destinations are only accessible by bike or on foot, so don't even try to use a motorized vehicle to get to the checkpoints! A road bike may not be the best means of transportation... but with practice, you can still reach the destinations.

It's good to have your own pen with you in case the pen in the box mysteriously disappears!
