Vehkalahti Veikot is one of the clubs organizing the Jukola Relay, together with Kymi Orienteering Club.
The Jukola Relay is an orienteering event for 40.000 people at Kymi Airport on June 13-14, 2026.
Go orienteering on the same courses with the world's best, help out or just be a spectator - in other words, experience the unique atmosphere of a major event.
The most amazing moments are the start of the Venla relay at 1:30 PM on Saturday and the start of the Jukola relay at 11 PM. This is when the earth shakes... Around 1000 women will start in Venla and around 1500 men and women will set off for the relay race in Jukola.
The Venla orienteers will orientate in a four-leg relay on Saturday afternoon and evening. Jukola is a seven-leg relay race, which will be orientated on the night between Saturday and Sunday, and the best teams will finish on Sunday morning between six and seven. For the fitness orienteers, the relay will continue well into Sunday, when the rest of the relay teams will start together after nine in the morning on Sunday.
In the Jukola atmosphere, various fitness-boosting events and training sessions are organized in Hamina throughout the winter.
