Grants for cultural activities

The Town of Hamina annually grants the Well-being of Hamina Citizen -grants to Hamina residents and associations, communities and private individuals operating in Hamina, in accordance with the budget and grant allocations confirmed by the town council. Applications are open for general, target and premises grants for cultural, sports, youth and other activities. Applications are accepted at the turn of the year (late November to early January).

In addition to this, a new experiment for communities is now a separate application for targeted grants, where targeted grants for individual projects for the period January-March have been applied for as early as November of the following year.

Starting in 2025, it will also be possible to apply for grants twice a year (March and October) for cultural activities aimed at the elderly in Hamina from the grant allocations of the new William and Helvi Säles Foundation. Communities can participate in the application.

There is also a year-round pop-up grant application targeted at individuals, working groups of individuals, and companies. It offers the opportunity to apply for a grant for the costs of small projects, such as events, against receipts. Read more about Hamina's grants on the grant page.
