Libraries
The library is a shared space for everyone. You can loan materials with our library card, use computers, come to our free events, or even play music in our music room. We offer spaces for studying, working, and meetings. All free of charge!
All Kymenlaakso libraries are in the same system called Kyyti. You can loan material from all library locations with a Kyyti library card. In the online library (kyyti.finna.fi) You can renew loans and reserve materials. You will also find a diverse selection of e-materials there.

On the eve of Ascension Thursday, 13.5.26, customer service 10 am-14 pm, self-service 7 am-19 pm

On Thursday 28.5.26 there will be no staff in Ruissalo due to a holiday, but you can shop independently from 7 am to 19 pm.
How to use the self-service library

EXCEPTIONS IN SCHEDULES:
On the eve of Ascension Thursday, 13.5.26, the library van will run the evening route. On Ascension Thursday, 14.5.25, the library van will not run.
On Thursday, May 28, 2026, the library mobile will not be operating due to a staff holiday.
Regular deviations from the schedule:
- There are no morning routes during school holidays.
- There are no evening routes on Christmas Eve, Christmas Eve and Midsummer Eve.

Library services
Online library
With your online library account, you can renew loans, make reservations, pay library fees, and update your personal information.
Data search
In addition to books, you can also search for movies, games, music, audiobooks and sports equipment from the online library. You can also reserve materials free of charge from other libraries in Kymenlaakso.
E-materials
In our e-material services you can read e-books, listen to e-audiobooks, and read domestic and foreign newspapers and magazines. For film and music lovers, we offer the Cineast and Naxos streaming services.
Facilities
You can book spaces at the library for work, meetings and events. Most of the spaces are free of charge.
Reading tips
In the online library you can find book tips, browse the most popular books and check out the new releases. Book lovers should also take up the Kyyti libraries' reading challenge.
