Kaikukortti (The Kaiku-card for Cultural Events)

Culture belongs to everyone. Everyone has the right to attend concerts, festivals, museums and theatres, even if their own financial situation is tight. The Kaikukortti card for cultural events has been developed as a solution to this.
What is Kaikukortti?
With the Kaiku-card, you can purchase free tickets to festivals, concerts, dance performances, sporting events or theater, for example, and also take courses at community colleges. The card is personal and free of charge.
In addition to the Kaikukortti offer in Hamina, you can also purchase free entrance tickets and course places in the Kaikukortti offer in other Kaikukortti areas with the Kaikukortti card. More information:
Getting a Kaiku card

You can get a Kaikukortin if
- your municipality of residence is Hamina
- you are a member of the social and health sector (Sote) or welfare and health promotion (Hyte) involved in Hamina's Kaikukortti activities operator's customer
- you are also in a tight financial situation and therefore you cannot obtain admission tickets or course places and
- you are at least 16 years old.

Ask the staff for your Kaiku card. You do not need to prove your income to get the card.

Using the Kaiku-card

With the Kaikukortti card you can purchase tickets to cultural venues participating in the Kaikukortti activity, such as festivals and museums. The Kaikukortti area covers most of the cultural offerings at the venues. With the Kaikukortti card you can also purchase lecture places at Hamina Adult Education Centre. The cultural operators participating in the Hamina Kaikukortti activity are listed in this brochure.
In addition, the cultural venues participating in Kaikukortti activities will inform you on their own websites about which events, performances and courses Kaikukortti covers. You can also call the cultural venue and inquire about the offerings within the Kaikukortti area.

Echo card pop up: With the Kaikukorti you can also purchase tickets to the Ateneum Art Museum, Kiasmaa and Sinebrychoff Art Museum, i.e. the Finnish National Gallery museums in Helsinki. The Heureka Science Centre in Vantaa is also a destination. In 2024, the Kaikukorti will also be valid for the Amos Rex and Photographic Art Museums in Helsinki.

In addition to the cardboard card, Kaikukorti now also offers a mobile card.
If you want to use the mobile Kaikukortti, do this:
If you already have a cardboard Kaikukortti and would like to replace or add a mobile card to it, please contact the Kaikukortti distributor from whom you received your Kaikukortti. Anyone can download the Kaikukortti application to their smartphone, but the mobile card will not work without the help of a card distributor in the Kaikukortti network. The card distributor grants you the right to use the Mobile Kaikukortti.Download the Kaikukortti app from Google Play or the Apple Store. The app is free.
You log in to the application via your personal email. When you activate your mobile card, you automatically have OmaKaiku at your disposal.
What if the mobile card doesn't work?
If your mobile card doesn't work even though the card issuer has activated it for you, check that you are logging in with the same email address that the card issuer used to create your account.If you have downloaded the mobile Kaikukortti card from Google Play before Thursday, February 20, 2025 and the app does not work, download the app again.
The cardboard card still works
The cardboard Kaikukortti card will still work, and it is not mandatory to use the mobile Kaikukortti.MyEcho
You can ask the person who issued your Kaiku card to activate the OmaKaiku service for you. You must have a personal email address to activate it.
With the OmaKaiku service you can, for example:- see how you have used your Kaiku card
- send feedback about cultural and sports operators' events (if they have published them)
(to MyEagle) - see what events you can participate in with the Kaikukortti. Unfortunately, not all event offerings will appear on the mobile Kaikukortti or OmaKaiku. Kaikukortti destinations decide for themselves whether to publish their offerings on OmaKaiku or not.
You can log in to OmaKaikuu at omakaiku.fi.
Mobile Kaikukortti users automatically have OmaKaiku enabled. Even if you do not want to enable mobile Kaikukortti, you can enable the OmaKaiku service.

Get a ticket with Kaikukortti from the Kaikukortti destination's own ticket sales channels. When you buy a ticket, be prepared to show your Kaikukortti and tell it the ID. You cannot buy tickets online with Kaikukortti. There may be a limited number of Kaikukortti tickets.
If you purchase a ticket through Lippupiste or another commercial ticket office, you will have to pay a service fee, even though the admission ticket itself is free.
Tickets for most Kaikukortti destinations can also be purchased directly from the destinations without a service fee.
If you want to attend a lecture at the community college, register for the lecture in advance as usual and also provide your Kaikukortti ID to the community college office.
There may be a limited number of Kaikukortti tickets and course places available.

Take your Kaikukortti with you when you go to an event or course. The staff may ask you to show your Kaikukortti. The staff may also ask you to prove your identity.

If you have children or grandchildren under the age of 18, you can use your Kaiku card to get free tickets for them when you go to the same event together. However, children or grandchildren cannot attend lectures at colleges with you.

At Kaikukortti attractions, the customer's possible assistant or interpreter is always admitted free of charge. The assistant can be, for example, an assistant for a person with reduced mobility, a guide assisting a visually impaired person, or a supervisor assisting a person with a developmental disability. The interpreter can be, for example, a sign language interpreter, a written interpreter, or a speech interpreter. The Kaikukortti holder must obtain a separate ticket for their assistant or interpreter.

If your Kaikukortti card has expired, you can only renew it at the branch that issued it. Contact the operator from whom you received your Kaikukortti. If your customer service is still valid and your financial situation is tight, you can renew the card. The Kaikukortti is valid for one year at a time.

If your Kaikukortti card is lost or damaged, you can get a new card. Contact the branch where you received your Kaikukortti.
With the Kaikukorti community card, children under 16 can join an adult for cultural activities.

If you are interested in participating with a small group or just two employees, it is worth asking if an employee of the community distributing the Kaikukortti would go with you to a cultural event!
Social and health care providers who distribute Kaikukortti have community Kaikukorttis at their disposal. An employee, volunteer or other community representative can use a community Kaikukortti to purchase a free entrance ticket for themselves and their clients under the age of 16 when they organize a small group visit for one or more clients. Clients over the age of 16 must have their own Kaikukorttis with them during small group visits. A small group is, for example, 2–5 people. Community Kaikukorttis cannot be used to participate in college courses.
Echo card nationwide
The aim of the Kaikukortti card is to improve the opportunities for young people, adults, seniors and families in financially difficult situations to participate in cultural life and engage in artistic activities.

Privacy Policy

Your name will only be written on your personal Kaikukortti. Your name, date of birth, personal identification number, address or telephone number will not be collected from you in the Kaikukortti register. When you receive a Kaikukortti, you will be asked for some background information, for example your native language. Providing background information is voluntary.
Cultural operators do not record your name, address or telephone number when you purchase a ticket with a Kaiku card.
Civic colleges are an exception: if you register for a course at the institute, you must provide your personal information when registering.
