The discussion cards have been created to support professionals and volunteers in situations where a person is concerned about or wants to talk about their possible substance use or gambling. The discussion cards are intended to support the discussion of substance use in adults. Each substance (nicotine products, alcohol, narcotics, gambling) has its own discussion card, and there is also a card for working with the relatives of a substance user. The discussion card describes instructions on how to talk about the matter for the first time. The discussion cards provide the user with practical tools to support the discussion and up-to-date instructions on where the client can be directed to in Kymenlaakso, if necessary. The cards work best digitally, as they have direct links to the necessary websites, but the cards can also be printed in paper form.
