Coordination of preventive substance abuse and mental health work

The municipality must ensure the organization of preventive substance abuse work in its area (Preventive Substance Abuse Work Act 523/2015)

The basic structures of municipal preventive substance abuse work (EPT) are:

1. In Hamina, the designated body under the EPT Act is the Vitality and Wellbeing Committee, whose tasks include preventive substance abuse work.
2. The party responsible for coordinating preventive substance abuse work in practice, for example a contact person or coordinator. Hamina's contact persons are the youth coordinator (under 29 years of age) and the well-being coordinator (over 29 years of age).
3. Preventive substance abuse work is guided by the well-being report.
