Hamina Town Strategy

The Hamina City Council approved the Hamina City Strategy in December 2025. The Hamina City Strategy consists of three areas: people, vitality and economy.

Development Projects

New employees have started working in the Wellbeing Promotion Unit and Sports Services.

Jaana Mattila works as a project coordinator in the EELI project (exploratory lifestyle guidance in Kymenlaakso) and in work funded by the Säles Foundation with seniors in Hamina.

Emmi Niiranen works as project coordinator for the Get Fit at 40 and 50 project.

Pia Aurala works as a meeting place worker at the Hamina meeting places.

Towards better brain health. Lecture in Hamina on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, 3-4 p.m. Kasper Hall, Hamina Main Library, Rautatienkatu 8. The lecture contains information about brain health and its maintenance. The event will also provide information about the upcoming FINGER Memory Health Training.
