Hamina is having fun during the autumn holidays!
During the autumn holidays, children and young people of primary school age in Hamina can try out different sports with the guidance of clubs. There are also events suitable for the whole family, from boccia to hiking. The sports trials are free of charge for participants.
The sports trials are organized as part of the Finnish model of hobbies, From a sports hobby to a club activity project. The project aims to make it easier to find and start a sports hobby.
Monday 20.10.
- Baseball 1st-3rd grade 16-18pm, Hamina ball hall
- Baseball 4st-6rd grade 18-20pm, Hamina ball hall
- Lantern hike to the lean-to, for the whole family at 18-19 pm, departure and parking at Laantintie 187, possibility to fry sausages on site (bring your own lunch)
Tuesday 21.10.
- American football 1st-3rd grade 12-13, Hamina ball hall
- American football 4st-6rd grade 13-14, Hamina ball hall
- American football 7st-9rd grade 14-15, Hamina ball hall
- Golf for 7-12 year olds 17-18 pm, Hamina Ball Sports Hall
- Golf for ages 13 and older (adults too!) 18-19 p.m., Hamina Ball Sports Hall
- Badminton for ages 10 and older (adults too!) at 5-6:30 PM, Pappilansalmi School
Wednesday 22.10.
- Block orienteering for all ages, starting from the Linnotiku swimming pool / Puistokatu side. Swimming ticket as a prize for those who complete the course. The course can be completed without orienteering skills. A question at the checkpoints, and a one-minute time penalty for an incorrect answer.

Saturday 25.10.
- NEW! Wall climbing trial at 12:00-14:30, Asema School, suitable for everyone from 5 years old to grandmas and grandpas, indoor sports equipment (no dangling laces, long hair tied up)
- Entrance through the back door of the school at 12 noon, so please arrive on time!
- NOTE! Those under 16 years of age must have a guardian present at the event. Those aged 16-17 can participate without a guardian, but they must have their guardian's permission to participate. Permission must be presented to the organizers at the event.
Sunday 26.10.
- Cheerleading for those born in 2017 and earlier at 4:00 PM-5:30 PM, Aseman School (entrance from the back door of the school)
- Sports experiment during hobby group exercises
- NOTE! It is also possible to try cheerleading on October 19.10th!
In addition, VeVe's orienteering department has organized a functional task nature trail for the whole family in the Vehkalinna terrain (Vehkalinnantie 10) during the autumn holiday week. The route is approximately 2 kilometers long.
