Hamina's accessibility by long-distance transport will improve from 1.6 June

Onnibus.com more services between Helsinki-Hamina-Helsinki starting from 1 June 2026. The new service is the OB71 service from Hamina to Helsinki via Porvoo. The service departs from Hamina on weekdays at 06.10, which is in Kamppi, Helsinki at 08.45.

On Saturdays and Sundays, the first bus leaves Hamina bus station at 8:30, arriving in Kamppi, Helsinki at 10:35. You can get from Helsinki to Hamina on weekdays and weekends with the 8:35 departure, arriving in Hamina at 10:40. The journey time on the OB6 service in one direction (Helsinki-Hamina-Helsinki) is approximately 2h 5min.

There are up to eight departures between Helsinki-Hamina-Helsinki on weekdays and up to six on weekends. Some departures also allow you to take your pet and bicycle with you for an additional fee.

There is also still daily service from Hamina to Lappeenranta on OB6 trains and from Lappeenranta to Helsinki via Hamina.  

The new schedules offer the possibility of commuting from Hamina to work in the Helsinki metropolitan area and also for daytime commuting in Hamina. The summer schedules are valid until 9 August 2026, but the Hamina schedules are valid until further notice.

Additional shifts during Hamina Tattoo event week 

Omnibus more departures during the Hamina Tattoo event week between Hamina and Helsinki from late evening on Friday 31.7. and Saturday 1.8. and on the night between Fri-Sat and Sat-Sun from 31.7. to 2.8. The additional departures will run via Loviisa and Porvoo bus stations. The additional departures will enable a full-day visit to the event and also offer the opportunity for those living in the Hamina area to return after the evening concerts of the event.
