Opening hours of Hamina Police Station permit services in summer 2026

The Southeast Finland Police Department will temporarily close the permit services at Hamina Police Station from June 8 to August 16, 2026.

According to the Act on the Availability of State Services and the Basis for the Location of Operations (728/2021), an authority may, for a justified reason, temporarily deviate from the announced opening days and hours of its place of business if the availability of the authority's services can be ensured in other ways.

The Police Department offers permit services at Kouvola Main Police Station during office hours from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 16:15. In addition, Kotka Police Station offers permit services from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 16:15. Hamina Police Station offers permit services on Tuesdays from 9:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 16:15.

The temporary closure of the Hamina permit services will ensure the availability of the police department's permit services, and especially the southern Kymenlaakso region's permit services, by centralizing the services at the Kotka police station. This procedure will provide better availability of permit services over time.
