The Hamina Flag Tower was built on the top of the Helsinki bastion of the Hamina Fortress in 1790.

Welcome to visit the unique Hamina Flag Tower! Downstairs you will find basic information about the history of Hamina Fortress, and upstairs on the 2nd floor you will find, among other things, a mini flag tower and a showcase with the theme “Play is a job” from the collections of the Hamina city museums. In addition, there are groups of tables where you can sit and admire the surrounding landscape.

Hamina Flag Tower open in summer 2026:

  • June-July 22.6.-24.7. Mon-Fri 9 am-13 pm. (Note: closed during Hamina Tattoo week Mon-Fri 27.7.-31.7.)
  • open in August 3-7.8. and 10-14.8. Mon-Fri 9 am-13 pm

Admission to the flag tower is free. Please note that the building is not accessible.

Changes to opening hours are possible.
