Presentation of Hamina development ideas on Monday, August 10, 2026

During the Hamina Tattoo event week, master's students in regional planning at the German TU Dortmund University interviewed both residents and event guests to gather ideas for the development of Hamina. Based on these, the students prepared proposals for the development of the Hamina master plan as their coursework.

The focus of the work is on improving the tourism infrastructure, focusing in particular on the city centre and Tervasaari areas. The plans emphasize the opportunities for sports, cultural and wellbeing tourism. The starting point of the planning is a participatory approach, taking into account the views and needs of both Hamina residents and tourists.

On Monday, August 10, 2026, from 2-3:30 p.m., students will present their development proposals in English in the council chamber of Hamina Town Hall..

Admission to the event is free. Welcome!
