The City of Hamina introduces an invoicing surcharge for paper invoices

The City of Hamina will introduce a five-euro billing surcharge for paper invoices as of December 1, 2025. The change does not apply to Haminan Vesi's invoicing. An effort has been made to facilitate customers' transition to e-invoicing by harmonizing e-invoice authorizations in January 2025. In practice, a consumer customer can order an e-invoice for all city invoice types in their online bank and thus replace all paper invoices with e-invoices with a single order. 

The purpose of the invoicing surcharge is to cover the rapidly increasing costs of paper invoices. Customers have the option of ordering an ecological and easy e-invoice in their online bank or alternatively entering into a direct payment agreement with the bank.
