Hamina City Council convened on March 25, 2025 at the Town Hall.

The Hamina City Council convened on 24 March 2026 at 5:00 p.m. at the Town Hall. At the meeting, Harri Kerkelä was granted a resignation from his duties as a city councillor, deputy member of the city board and member of the urban development committee. Deputy councillor Jalle Niemelä was invited to become a member of the council, and as a result, the order of the party's deputy councillors changes by one.

In addition, one council initiative was submitted at the city council meeting regarding the establishment of a vitality advisory board to strengthen the growth of SMEs and tax revenue development in Hamina. According to the council initiative, the vitality advisory board would be tasked with drawing up an action plan to promote the growth and location of SMEs and, in the future, would submit a semi-annual status report to the council on the development of the business base and the progress of the measures.

After the regular meeting, the city council continued working on the evening school regarding the service network.
