Hamina City Council convened on March 31, 2025

The Hamina City Council convened on Monday, March 16, 2026, at the Town Hall. The meeting discussed, among other things, the city councilor's request to resign from all positions of trust. The matter will proceed to the council's consideration. In addition, the meeting discussed the Ministry of Finance's recent decisions on state transfers for 2026.

The City Council also decided at its meeting to apply for membership in the Finnish Hydrogen Valley Association. The aim of the Finnish Hydrogen Valley Association is to promote the hydrogen economy in Eastern Finland. Through membership, the City of Hamina is involved in securing the industrial development and energy supply of Eastern Finland. In addition, membership brings important research information and networks to the city.
