Plastic and cardboard cards for sports facilities in the city of Hamina will be discontinued at the turn of the year
Entry to the city of Hamina's sports facilities will now be done electronically via codes obtained from Asio. Plastic cards for the Linnotin swimming pool and Ruissalo gym will cease to function at the turn of the year. The use of cardboard cards for the Hamina sports hall will also end at the turn of the year.
Purchasing gym cards, signing up for exercise groups, reserving facilities, and registering for events are all handled through Asio. hamina.asio.fi.
On the home page you will find a shortcut to purchase gym cards, and the same gym card works for both the Hamina Sports Hall and the Ruissalo Martial Arts and Sports Center gyms.
Instructions for the Ruissalo gym:
- Try to use up all the gym memberships on your plastic card by the end of the year.
- If you have unused time, you can transfer it to Asio at the swimming pool's cashier. Before transferring, you must make one purchase at Asio to create a user account.
Instructions for the Hamina Sports Hall gym:
- On weekdays, staff is available from 8 am to 16 pm Mon-Thu and 8 am to 14 pm Fri, until 28.11.2025, when you can enter the hall and pay for the gym with cash, card, sports benefits or cardboard card. In the future, access will be handled by phone.

It is worth adding the gym's serial card as a shortcut, which will take you directly to the gym opening menu to activate access to the gym.
Asio gym visits are valid for one year from the date of purchase or transfer.
At the gym door, you activate your session from your phone, which will display the code. At the same time, you can see how many sessions you have left.
In Asio, you can also pay for gym visits, exercise group fees, and events with Epass and Smartum.
Swimming pool cards also stop working at the turn of the year and must be exchanged for a wristband at the swimming pool cashier.
Access to sports facilities
You can access reserved slots in the sports facilities using a code that appears in Asio under “My reservations.” You can access Asio with your own email address.
If you don't see your shifts, "Sign out of all devices," then sign back in. Select an individual or company role, depending on what shifts you're looking for.
Currently, the codes work at Hamina Sports Hall and Ruissalo Martial Arts and Sports Centre, where the use of the HID application will end at the end of November. Those who book their slots will be notified when the remaining halls are transferred from HID to Asio.
You can book facilities for yourself from Asio without registering. You just go to the calendar and mark the time you want. Some of the facilities operate on the “Book – pay – move” principle, for example, you can book badminton shifts at the Hamina sports hall, and some of the facilities require confirmation from the staff, so the correct price will only be available upon confirmation. You can book standard shifts from the “Standard shifts” menu.
