AIDA cruise ship will arrive in Hamina on Tuesday, June 16, 2026

The AIDA shipping company's M/S AIDAdiva cruise ship will arrive in Hamina for its first visit on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. The mainly German cruise guests will have the opportunity to visit Hamina on their own or go on a guided tour to nearby attractions.

PARKING SPACES AT TOWN HALL SQUARE ARE OUT OF USE

The parking spaces in Hamina's Town Hall Square will be closed to vehicle parking from Monday 15.6 June at 17 pm until Tuesday 16.6 June at approximately 19 pm. The parking spaces will be marked with no parking signs.

The parking spaces that are no longer in use are: Raatihuoneentori 2 and Raatihuoneentori 14-16. In addition, parking spaces for buses are reserved on Mannerheimintie, the street on the side of St. John's Church.

HORSE CARRIAGE RIDE AROUND THE TOWN HALL

Cruise guests can take part in a paid horse-drawn carriage ride from approximately 10 am to 13 pm. The starting point is Raatihuoneentori 14. The carriage route runs along the following route: Raatihuoneentori 14- Rauhankatu-Pikkuympyräkatu- Kirkkokatu- Raatihuoneentori 14.

SHUTTLE BUSES FROM THE PORT TO THE TOWN HALL SQUARE

Cruise ship guests have the opportunity to travel from the port to Hamina Town Hall Square by buses that run between the port and Town Hall Square from approximately 8 am to 18 pm. There are many pedestrians in the Hamina city center, so it is a good idea to take this into account when moving around the Hamina city center.

DIVERSE PROGRAM OFFERING

Companies offer a diverse program during the day. In Trykininpuisto, for example: Blanket flea, where you can reserve your own sales space (10 €). Churches and museums are open in addition to other services and shops.

The day's program offerings will be compiled in German on a digital Hamina service map and in addition, the program offerings will be compiled on stands in the Town Hall Square. There will also be an information point in front of St. John's Church, where representatives of the City of Hamina and VisitKotkaHamina will talk about places to visit in Hamina and the region.
