The AIDA shipping company's M/S AIDAbella cruise ship will arrive in Hamina on Sunday, May 31, 2026. Cruise guests have the opportunity to visit Hamina on their own or go on a guided tour to nearby attractions.

PARKING SPACES AT TOWN HALL SQUARE ARE OUT OF USE 

The parking spaces in Hamina's Town Hall Square will be closed to vehicle parking on Sunday, May 31, 2026 from approximately 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The parking spaces will be marked with no parking signs. 

The parking spaces that are no longer in use are: Raatihuoneentori 2 and Raatihuoneentori 14-16. In addition, parking spaces for buses are reserved on Mannerheimintie, the street on the side of St. John's Church.   

HORSE CARRIAGE RIDE AROUND THE TOWN HALL 

Cruise guests can take part in a horse-drawn carriage ride for a fee. The starting point is Raatihuoneentori 14. The carriage route runs along the following route: Raatihuoneentori 14- Rauhankatu-Pikkuympyräkatu- Kirkkokatu- Raatihuoneentori 14.  

SHUTTLE BUSES FROM THE PORT TO THE TOWN HALL SQUARE

Cruise ship guests have the opportunity to travel from the port to Hamina Town Hall Square by buses, which run between the port and Town Hall Square starting at approximately 11 am.

There are a lot of pedestrians in the central area of ​​Hamina, so it is a good idea to take this into account when moving around the central area of ​​Hamina. 

DIVERSE PROGRAM OFFERING

Companies offer a diverse program during the day. In Trykininpuisto, for example: Blanket flea, where you can reserve your own sales space (10 €). Churches and museums are open and in addition, cafes, restaurants and several shops in the city center are open. Next cruise ship: Another cruise ship will arrive in Hamina on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, when the AIDA shipping company's M/S AIDAdiva arrives for its first visit to Hamina, in the port of Hillo. At that time, some of the parking spaces in Raatihuoneentori will also be reserved for bus parking.
