Processing of personal data

According to the Personal Data Act, an individual must be informed if their personal data is entered into a personal register. Personal data includes, for example, name and address information. In addition, the data subject must be informed of the purpose of the processing of personal data, to whom the data is regularly disclosed, and of the data subject's rights.

The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect May 25, 2018. The update of the basic principles of personal data processing and the rights of the data subject remain largely unchanged. Individuals will continue to have the right, for example, to inspect their personal data and to request the correction of incorrect data and the deletion of unnecessary data.

Town customer rights to the register data

The town collects personal data of customers to the extent necessary to provide a particular service. With regard to the data collected in the register, the data subject has the right to know what data is collected about him or her. If the data is incorrect, the customer has a right to said data rectification.

The processing of personal data for town services is carried out in compliance with legal mandates. Where the processing of the individual's data is based on consent, the data subject has the right to withdraw consent at any time.

The data is collected in different registers depending on the purposes for which the data is used. Data protection declarations have been prepared for the registers, which can be found further down on this page.

The privacy policy states who the data controller is and who the contact person for the register is. The privacy policy also includes the purposes of processing the register data and other necessary information.

Information concerning social and health care clients and patients is confidential. The access rights of users of information systems are defined in accordance with their tasks and responsibilities. The information in the register may only be used for the management of the client and patient relationship and only to the extent required for the management of the matter, work tasks and responsibilities.
