Retail sales permit for tobacco products, nicotine liquids and smokeless nicotine products

The municipal supervisory authority issues permits for the retail and wholesale sale of tobacco products, nicotine liquids and smokeless nicotine products. Permits can be applied for through the electronic service. Tobacco register (Turre) is a nationwide system in which traders can apply for a permit to sell tobacco products, nicotine liquids and smokeless nicotine products at retail, and report wholesale sales or changes in information through an electronic service. When an operator is granted a tobacco product sales permit, a sales permit fee is charged at the time of granting and an annual supervision fee thereafter. The amount of the fees is based on a fee approved by the Licensing Committee.

Holders of tobacco sales permits issued before 15 August 2016 can report the sale of nicotine liquids to the Hamina Health Inspectorate. An updated self-monitoring plan must be attached to the notification.

All changes regarding the retail sale permit for tobacco products, nicotine liquids or smokeless nicotine products must be reported to the municipal supervisory authority.
