Tobacco control

Tobacco Act (549/2016) The aim is to eliminate the use of tobacco products and other nicotine-containing products that contain substances that are toxic to humans and are addictive. Municipal health inspectors monitor the sale and other distribution of tobacco products, tobacco substitutes, smoking accessories, electronic cigarettes and nicotine liquids, as well as compliance with the regulations on self-monitoring, marketing and display bans. In addition, compliance with the regulations on smoking bans and restrictions is monitored.
