Apartments and activities subject to notification
The operator must submit a written notification of the premises/activities in accordance with the Health Protection Act no later than 30 days before commencing the operation. The health authority will issue a certificate of receipt of the notification to the notifier, process the notification and carry out an inspection within 3 months of commencing the operation. A fee in accordance with the environmental health care rate is charged for processing the notification and inspection. A corresponding notification must also be submitted for any substantial change or termination of the operation and for any change in the operator.
Apartments/functions that comply with the Health Protection Act include:
- Accommodation apartments
- Gyms, exercise facilities, public saunas, spas, indoor swimming pools, swimming pools and beaches
- Daycare centers, club facilities, schools and educational institutions
- Nursing homes and other social welfare units and reception centers
- Tanning salons, tattoo parlors, beauty salons and other premises where skin treatments are performed
- Healthcare operating units (notification must be made for the purpose of monitoring risk management of water installations)
- hospitals
- health centers with an inpatient ward
